Good news after 8 years Roopkund Trek banned now its open and overnight stay in bugyals meadows are possible as recent supreme court order the judgement, our trek for Roop Kund trek first departure will be from 15th September 2026.

Day one start from either kathgodam train station or Dehradun/Haridwar train station or airport. Arrive at lohajung camp drive 9hrs. Dinner
The trek from Lohajung to Didina village is about 6 to 8 kilometers long. It takes roughly 4 to 5 hours to complete. The trail starts with a downhill walk to the Neel Ganga (or Bedni Ganga) river. It finishes with a steep uphill climb of many switchbacks up to Didina
Morning breakfast and with packed lunch we continue trek from Didina village to Ali Bugyal we covers roughly 8 to 10 km, taking 6 hours. You will climb from an altitude of about 8,000 ft up to 11,500 ft, moving through dense oak and rhododendron forests before opening up into vast, rolling alpine meadows. Camp and dinner.
Day 4, Morning breakfast followed by trekking ahead to reach the Bedni Bugyal top from which we can view the massifs of Mt.Trishul, Mt.Nanda Ghunti and to some extent Mt. Chaukhamba. We would then continue trekking to Patar Nachauni which is going to be an easy to modering steep trek. Arrive at Camp and dinner
Brekafast and with packed lunch todat we Descend through the scenic Bedni Bugyal, Ghairoli Patal, and Wan Village, enjoying the final views of the majestic Himalayas on the Roopkund Trek. From Wan, a picturesque Himalayan village, drive for about an hour to Lohajung, marking the end of your unforgettable trekking adventure. Celebrate your journey with local cuisine, warm hospitality, and lasting memories of one of Uttarakhand's most iconic high-altitude treks.
After breakfast, bid farewell to the breathtaking Himalayas and begin your scenic drive from Lohajung to Dehradun/Kathgodam, marking the end of your unforgettable Roopkund Trek. Access to Roopkund Lake has been restricted in recent years to protect the fragile ecosystem. But now in July 20th supreme court of India in this cause removed all 3 restricion and now this roopkun trek is open and all bugyals overnight stay is also opened.
Roopkund is famous for its mysterious Skeleton Lake, where hundreds of ancient human skeletons were discovered.
Yes, it is a moderate-to-difficult trek due to its high altitude, steep climbs, and long trekking distances.
May–June and September–October offer the best weather and mountain views.
While beginners with excellent fitness may attempt it with experienced guides, prior high-altitude trekking experience is strongly recommended.
