Uphill Skiing: Also called skinning, this technique uses climbing skins for ascending slopes, blending endurance and skill.

Skiing Technique Terms
Most popular Carving: Carving refers to the technique of executing precise turns on the snow by leaning into the edges of the skis. This advanced method improves control and maneuverability on the slopes.
A shape or Snowplow: The snowplow is a basic skiing technique where the tips of the skis are angled towards each other in a V-shape to regulate speed, making it particularly suitable for beginners.
A Snowplow Turn: This maneuver involves initiating a turn using the snowplow technique, which is essential for skiers who are learning to master controlled turns.
Latest Parallel Turns: Parallel turns are performed by simultaneously turning both skis while keeping them in a parallel position. This technique is crucial for advanced skiers aiming for smooth and efficient turns.
Yield: Yield denotes the obligation to prevent collisions, typically assigned to the skier or rider positioned below on the slope.
