Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian national park located in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, established in 1982. It is renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and diverse flora. The park is situated in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand State in India and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Location and Geography
The park is nestled in the higher reaches of Pushpawati valley in valley of flowers Ghangaria, Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand, India. It spans an area of 87 sq km in the Chamoli district.

How to Reach Valley of Flowers
By Air: Nearest airport Jolly Grant Airport, a mere 25km away from Rishikesh, is the most convenient airport for your journey. Regular flights from Delhi to Dehradun as well Mumbai Bangalore Hydrabad etc…Jolly grant to Rishikesh just 30 minutes drive. From Rishikesh to Joshimath 8hrs drive stay here next day to Govindghat 28km drive then 3km drive to pulna village and trek 14km to Ghangaria stay here. Next day to valley of flowers trek 7km to and fro from Ghangaria stay in Ghangaria next day trek down to Govindghat or pulna then further drive to Rishikesh same day.
By Train: Delhi to Haridwar is nearest train station. From there, a bus or cab ride of approximately 35 km will bring you to Rishikesh.
By Bus: From Delhi, All types of AC/Deluxe Standard buses are available from Delhi, one can take Volvo buses to which directly come to Rishikesh bus stand. Opting for government buses from Kashmere Gate ISBT is always a sound choice. The bus will drop you off at Rishikesh ISBT.
